Privacy notice

What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

What we collect and why

Visitor statistics and your choice

We count page views without cookies and without storing your IP address. Your address is read for a moment to make an anonymous daily code and is then discarded. Counting is switched off automatically if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also switch it off on this device:

Cookies and similar storage

Visitors get no cookies. The only item the site saves in your browser is your language choice (and, if you use the button above, your statistics opt-out). Administrators receive a sign-in cookie that is needed to keep them signed in. We believe this means no cookie banner is needed.

Who else handles data

  • Cloudflare hosts the website and its database. Its servers may process technical request data (such as IP address) for security and delivery, under its data processing terms.
  • Stripe and Revolut process payments you choose to make with them. Their own privacy notices apply on their pages.
  • Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, relying on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
  • YouTube (Google) is contacted only after you press play on a video. Until then nothing is sent to Google. After you press play, Google may set its own cookies and its own notice applies. Video thumbnails are fetched by our server.
  • Weather and exchange-rate figures are fetched by our server, not by your browser.
  • Our email provider delivers confirmation messages when email is switched on.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to the email address above and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).
